Unable to obtain your own Service User Number (SUN)? No problem, you can still collect payments by Direct Debit using our Facilities Managed service.

Who is it for?

Our Bureau service is for organisations who already have or plan to obtain a Service User Number (SUN) from their bank.

Typically, you will need a turnover in excess of £1m a year to be granted your own SUN by your bank. If you meet the criteria, we can help you apply for your SUN.

Our Bureau Service allows you to automate more of the process, optimising your Direct Debit collections' speed and accuracy whilst removing the risk of managing it all yourself. We can tailor elements of the service to your needs.

How does it work?

With our Bureau service, SmartDebit allow you to process, manage and monitor your Direct Debits via our online Portal' Pulse', with our API or using both.

We link to your Service User Number to process submissions on your behalf and to pick up and apply Bacs reports taking action on incorrect details, amendments, cancellations and unpaids, so you don't have to.
